Yoga/Pilates 101

An introduction to several styles and traditions. Get aquainted and become competent at the Sun Salutation, Pranayama, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Flow, Pilates basics, and more! This class will give you the vocabulary and skills to move forward with your Yoga practice in a competent and educated manner. Excellent for beginners - or intermediate students wanting to fine tune their Yoga skills and savior faire! Yoga relaxes the mind, sculpts the body & uplifts the spirit...and aids abdominal fat loss! Excess abdominal fat is linked to high cortisol (stress hormone) levels. Yoga, breathing and guided imagery utilized in Yoga and pilates are clinically proven to lower cortisol levels: helping you lose fat FAST! Yoga and pilates nurtures body, mind and spirit.
